Fuco Ueda’s work for her latest show at Lower Akihabra in Tokyo is a nocturne that caresses your eyes as it moves from themes of loneliness, beauty and death. The show is based on the chrysanthemum flower which in Japan is normally attributed to grief or loss. Ueda’s soft palettes combined with her use of the supernatural make for intriguing works of art.
